WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, unalterable Word of God, written by holy men of old, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. We believe in one God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes, and purposes, as well as omniscient (All-Knowing) and omnipresent. We believe He was revealed to us as Father in Creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves them that trust Him.
  • We believe that in Jesus dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead in a body, For it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. Colossians 1:19
  • We believe in the virgin birth. Jesus was both human and divine. He was manifest in the flesh. John 1:14
  • We believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
  • We believe that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit (The Holy Ghost), which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and it is that same Spirit that is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. Acts 2:4, John 14; l John 2:27
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth. John 3:5
  • We believe in a holy sanctified life. We believe in divine healing, communion, and foot washing. 1 Peter 1:15-16, James 5:15, John 13, 1 Corinthians 11:17-26
  • We believe also in the glorious and imminent catching away of the saints when Jesus returns in the clouds to take His people to heaven (The Rapture). 1 Thessalonians 4:13– 18
  • Our chief aim is to glorify the Savior, who is Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people zealous of good works.

OUR HISTORY

Emmanuel Apostolic Church was started in 1968 by District Elder Jerry Hubbard, in his home with his wife and daughter.  The Lord blessed two people in the neighborhood to receive the Holy Ghost in his living room.  The church began to grow and they moved to a building on Santa Clara Street, then shortly after they moved to Broadway Street.

In 1978 The Lord blessed District Elder Hubbard to purchase the building on 121 Lemon Street.  Many souls were saved and blessed.

In 1988 District Elder Hubbard and the members of Emmanuel purchased 9 lots on 6th Street.  By 1989 the creation of the new building was on its way, and it was all by the help of the Lord. One of our long time faithful  members, Minister James Gray by  working for Conco we were able to cement the parking lot and pour the foundation for the building.  The Lord blessed the Church to be completed in January 1991.

District Elder Hubbard had a stroke in 2002, District Elder Hubbard's wife, Pastor Johnnie Hubbard then became pastor.  In 2004 Pastor Johnnie Hubbard and the Emmanuel members purchased the property to birth Emmanuel Arms Preschool and Childcare Center.

In January of 2007 Pastor Johnnie Hubbard and Pastor Bryan Harris merged Emmanuel Apostolic and Christ Temple to become Emmanuel Temple with Pastor Bryan Harris as Pastor and Pastor Johnnie Hubbard as associate pastor.  With the help of the Lord we are looking forward to great things and many souls being saved.
